Summary of New Age Religion – What Are the Key Elements?
A summary of New Age religion begins with a definition. “New Age” is a collection of Eastern-influenced, metaphysical thought systems that combine theology, philosophy and nature. The New Age movement comprises a myriad of different "theologies" that generally focus on religious tolerance and moral diversity.

The key phrases (or "isms") that reflect the core of New Age thought are "feel-goodism" (do what feels right for you, as long as you're not hurting anyone else), "pluralism" (universal tolerance), and "moral relativism" (situational ethics).

The term "New Age" refers to the "Aquarian Age" which, according to New Age followers, is now dawning. This Age is supposed to bring in peace and enlightenment and reunite man with "god." A basic New Age doctrine is that mankind is presently separated from god because of a lack of understanding and knowledge concerning god's true nature and reality.

Summary of New Age Religion – Their Hope for the Future
In New Age philosophy, mankind is central. We are viewed as divine, as co-creators, and as the ultimate hope for the future of our earth. New Age philosophy is difficult to define because there is no centralized hierarchy, doctrine or membership.

At its core, the New Age movement is a religious system with two primary doctrines: Evolutionary Godhood and Global Unity.
